Five years. Five Units. Education Anywhere.

As 2025 draws to a close, we wanted to reflect on the significant achievements made at Global Teacher over the last five years. In this time we’ve successfully deployed Classroom-in-a-Box™ units to Ukraine and Zimbabwe, reaching thousands of children in challenging environments.

Education should be accessible, anywhere. That’s why we created Classroom-in-a-Box™ – a portable, solar-powered, offline learning kit that works without electricity or internet – ideal for crisis zones, off-grid communities and remote schools.

Unit 001 – Mykolaiv, Ukraine

Unit 001 is live in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, at a Special Educational Needs school. This was the first of our Classroom-in-a-Box™ units to launch in an active war zone, providing stability and learning resources to those in need.

Unit 002 – Odesa region, Ukraine

Our second Classroom-in-a-Box™ unit launched in the Odesa region of Ukraine, through our partnership with The Breteau Foundation.

Unit 003 – Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

Unit 003 is live in Mind the Gap Africa’s Harvest Family Village, an orphanage located just outside Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. This marked our first deployment in an off-grid community with limited access to internet and electricity, providing movie nights and essential learning for children.

Unit 004 – Pyvdenne, Ukraine

Our fourth Classroom-in-a-Box™ unit went live in Pyvdenne, in the Odesa region of Ukraine through our partnership with FC Shakhtar Donetsk – allowing students to continue their education despite being in remote areas, temporary shelters or evacuation centres.

Unit 005  – Ukraine

Unit 005 is also working in Ukraine thanks to our partnership with FC Shakhtar Donetsk and is now live in the village of Mykolaivka, in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine.

Looking ahead

At Global Teacher, we believe education doesn’t just transform lives – it inspires the next generation of dreamers, visionaries, and problem-solvers. We’re proud of the impact Classroom-in-a-Box™ is having on thousands of children around the world, but we’re only just getting started.
