Units 004 and 005 are now live in the city of Pyvdenne, in the Odesa region, and the village of Mykolaivka, in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine – allowing students to continue their education despite being in remote areas, temporary shelters or evacuation centres.

At Global Teacher we believe in education, anywhere. That’s why we provide an off-grid education aid that works without electricity or internet – ideal for crisis zones, off-grid communities and remote schools.

Daria Yundina, Leading Specialist in Social Projects at FC Shakhtar Donetsk Foundation said: “The Classroom-in-a-Box™️ units have significantly strengthened the educational capacity of both communities. In Pyvdenne, they have allowed teachers to continue lessons during air-raid alerts and maintain stability in the learning process. In Mykolaivka, the units have become an important tool for delivering quality education amid frequent power cuts.

“For Ukrainian schoolchildren, it is critically important to have the opportunity to continue their education, even when they find themselves in remote areas, temporary shelters, or evacuation centres.

Daria added: “Classroom-in-a-Box™️ enables children to maintain their learning process during risks or emergency situations caused by the war. It supports their development, reduces stress, and provides a sense of stability. When children have access to education under any circumstances, communities remain resilient, and the school continues to be a place where support and safety can always be found.”

Our Classroom-in-a-Box™️ includes:

  • Solar panel – 110W foldable, waterproof solar panel which is lightweight, durable and perfect for off-grid locations.
  • Battery – rechargeable lithium-ion battery, ideal for harsh conditions.
  • Projector – compact and bright LED projector.
  • ‘The Brains’ – which is where all of the offline learning is stored.
  • Navigation – this includes a keyboard and mouse for the brains.
  • Projector screen – 100” wall mountable projector screen.
  • Carry case – durable, waterproof carry case for harsh climates.

We want to say a huge thank you to Yulia, Daria and the team at Shakhtar Social. Without their support we would not have been able to deliver Classroom-in-a-Box™ to the schools close to the warzone that need it. Their openness, commitment and teamwork have been pivotal in making this project happen. Further thanks to Mike, our shipping guy who made this connection happen, proving that football can be a powerful vehicle for collaboration.
